BELLEFONTE, Ky. — Inspirational local runner Amy Compston, the woman behind the Amy for Africa non-profit organization, will share about her recent mission trip to Moyo, Uganda, in word and pictures during “Brunch with Amy” on Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bellefonte Country Club.
Her ongoing mission: to raise funds to aid poverty-stricken areas of Northern Africa through United Christian Expeditions.
Amy and husband Chris have completed an ambitious 13 marathons, with one more to go, this year for the cause.
Women, men and students (middle school and older) are invited. Area athletic teams and other groups are encouraged to attend.
Brunch featuring quiche, fresh fruit, mini muffins, dessert and drink is $20, reserved, by calling Stacy Keelin at 922-1442 or Pam Holbrook at 324-5274 by Nov. 1.
