ASHLAND, Ky. – Jarek Compston has accomplished as much at the age of 10 as many do in a lifetime.

He has been part of five mission trips to Uganda with Amy For Africa, participated in 10Ks and half marathons, including recording the second-fastest half-marathon in the U.S. for his age group in 2017, and raised thousands for the AFA ministry. He even had a children’s book written about him because of his passion for children in Uganda that he shares with  his mother and father.

And he did all that before his 10th birthday, which is Jan. 12.

To celebrate his milestone birthday, AFA is asking supporters to donate $10 for his 10 years. Or you may want to give more! Whatever is given will help AFA #FinishThatSchool in Uganda.

Jarek is the son of Chris and Amy Compston of the AFA ministry.

The 20-page fully illustrated book is about how Jarek ran a half marathon at 6 years old to raise money to send Christmas gifts to Ugandan children in December 2017.
