ASHLAND, Ky. — Amy For Africa’s stable of runners is growing again.

Six more runners recently committed to run for Team AFA, bringing the total to 15 who will compete in various races this season from 5Ks to marathons. Each runner will be seeking fundraising for the organization during events where they participate.
They will be running in official Amy For Africa gear and have committed to collecting at least $100 apiece throughout the race season.

The last six to join Team AFA are: Amanda Gully and her 9-year-old daughter Aleigha, Eric Stewart, Marcus Wesolowski, Chris Long and Danny Sallie.

“We love how God works and are so honored that these great runners have chosen to run for Amy For Africa,” said Compston, a co-founder of the organization that raises money for missions in Moyo, Uganda. “We know it’s a commitment and we praise the Lord for willing servants who want to run for God. The money that is raised, every penny of it, will be put to good use.

“We welcome other runners who would like to run for us, too. The door is always open.”
