HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Amy Compston of Amy For Africa will be the speaker for the Fields of Faith youth event at Huntington High on Oct. 14.
The event is being sponsored by Huntington/Tri-State area Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Compston, the face behind the mission that works with organizations in Moyo, Uganda, has run in five world marathons.
She will be competing in the West Virgina Trilogy, along with her husband Chris, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The three-day stage race has runners going 31 miles, then 50 miles, then 13 miles on consecutive days.
Genuine Remedy will also be playing at the Field of Faith event that begins at 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 6 p.m., according to FCA director Andy Conner.
