ASHLAND, Ky. -The Mission to Moyo team has grown to a dozen with the addition of Whitney Saucedo from Samaritan’s Feet.
Whitney will be joining with the Amy For Africa organization to help in the distribution of 26,000 pairs of shoes in Moyo from May 17 to June 2. The 32-year-old from Indiana has worked for almost seven years as the Domestic Operations Coordinator for Samaritan’s Feet. She helps plan all of the shoe distributions that take place in the United States.
Whitney has made several trips to Uganda as well, including working at an orphanage about 100 miles south of Moyo. Her experience in that area and with the shoe distribution will be invaluable to our team.
“We are honored that Samaritan’s Feet has loaned us one of their own to help with this amazing project,” said Mark Maynard, president of AFA. “We welcome Whitney’s expertise in passing out the shoes and through email and telephone conversations have already come to love her heart. What a blessing to us.”
Amy Compston, the namesake and vice-president of AFA, said “God is putting together the perfect team. We continue to stand amazed at how He is providing. Whitney will be such a great addition to our team with the experience she has had with shoes and in Uganda.” #shoesofhope #amyforafrica #runforgod #greatprovider #samaritansfeet
